Now in its 21st year, the Redland Orchid Festival grew out of a desire to add one more sales event at the end of the spring show season. Founding member Lynn Bretsnyder said, "We wanted a venue that was relaxing and upbeat where we could provide educational lectures, show quality plants on display and global vendors with great product for sale." This seemingly simple goal requires an incredible amount of behind-the-scenes work by scores of volunteers. "The permitting and paperwork itself is a full-time job" says Robert Randall of Carib Plants Inc.. The vision of the seven founding members and dedication of the remaining four has paid off. The Redland International Orchid Festival is generally acknowledged by orchid hobbyists as the one not-to-be-missed event of the year.

Over 60 vendors from around the world make the Redland Festival one-of-a-kind. Shop for those rare orchids you had only dreamed of finding.

The Redland Orchid Festival is an AOS judged event. Entries will be received at the Show Tent in the park on Thursday May 18th between Noon and 3:00 p.m.Judging begins at 3:00 p.m.

Our renowned lecture series taps into the vast knowledge of visiting orchid growers from around the world to present topics of interest to all orchid collectors. All lectures are free. One of the hallmarks of the Redland International Orchid Festival is the weekend-long lecture series. Here, in the comfort of the air conditioned lecture room at the Fruit & Spice Park, you can learn how to grow that difficult species or how to control a pesky pest invasion. Speakers are hand picked from visiting growers and local academics.
